Tour Description
The Echo Canyon trail on Camelback Mountain is an official "Point of Pride" destination in the state of Arizona.
Experience the scenic desert beauty of Scottsdale, as we take you on a journey through its most exclusive areas to the Echo Canyon trail on Camelback Mountain. Our aim is to e-bike to the trail head and hike 15 minutes up the first portion of the trail to marker #9. This portion of the trail is easy and the views are amazing.
At the start of this tour, you will receive a tutorial on how to operate the E-Bikes. Then we ride to the Greenbelt bike path, a World-Class-Gold-Star rated path. At almost every turn there are mountain views and bodies of water in our view. After a few miles of riding, we'll cross the Arizona canal and ride into Paradise Valley, the most expensive zip code in area. Celebrities, professional athletes and business magnates live there. For example, the owner of the brand Miracle Grow owns 16 million dollar estate on our route.
As we safely ride on a meticulously designed route, we'll travel on slow safe streets through Paradise Valley. This trail is by far the most popular hiking destination in the area. The entire trail is rated as very difficult. As a result, that causes some people avoid it, but what most people don't know is, that the hike to the first look out point is easy and the views are mind blowing.
Hiking the whole trail is very difficult and would take 2.5 hours. That is not our goal. We just want to hike the first portion of this world class trail. Your tour guide will stay with the E-Bikes while your group hikes. This tour gives you an opportunity to experience Camelback without getting too worn out and tired.
Once we finish our hike, we're headed back through Paradise Valley to the bike path. We'll see hidden gems and learn some fun facts and local history that you would definitely miss without a tour guide.
Pro Tip: This is a good way to experience this legendary trail without trying to do the whole trail. It's also a great introduction to the iconic Arizona desert landscape and dry climate in Scottsdale.
