Situated next to the Civic Center Mall...
and right on the Drinkwater Boulevard is the chief administrative building of the City of Scottsdale. City Halls serve a critical role in hosting municipal offices and services, but they are just as important architecturally, as they leave a visual legacy for the city they represent. Thus, the Scottsdale City Hall not only administers protocols as well as conducting council meetings, but also serves as a symbol for the people of Scottsdale.
Why Is It a Top Thing to See In Scottsdale?
Scottsdale City Hall
The Scottsdale City Hall was designed by architect Bennie Gonzales in 1968 and has since stood as a memorable and delightfully likable structure for tourists and citizens alike. It was designed with an interior kiva for community meetings meaning the building caters to more than just municipal addresses and meetings. The council meetings are held on Tuesday nights and are very exciting to be a part of. So much that people actually recommend each other to go and attend them because of the very warm and welcoming nature of everyone who works there as well as how dedicated and committed to the city they are. So, in more ways than one, the Scottsdale City Hall serves as a structure that the people of Scottsdale can look up to and trust. Which also shows in the attitude that the people of Scottsdale hold towards their city hall; it being highly adored and respected.

Design
In terms of design, the structure retains a sense of modernity that does not seem to fade with the passing years. There is a wonderous and delightfully beautiful pool outside with stone sculpture and fountains encompassed within, all of which can be enjoyed while one walks up to the main entrance of the building. Once inside, it is fairly easy to find your way to the meeting hall. Built as a kiva to conduct meetings, this is a very interesting addition to the city hall as it makes the very act of attending a meeting all the more exciting. Being located in the Civic Center of the city, the Scottsdale City Hall compliments the buildings around it and adds to the beauty of the area.
Despite being an administrative building, it does not come off at all as intimidating or something that lacks personality. The structure is pleasantly designed so one can appreciate it for all it’s architectural and artistic details even if you’re simply just taking a stroll around it and have no business there. There are small flower beds around the building which make it all very natural and pretty, as well as complimenting the water fountain.

As Scottsdale shares a vision to still hold on to its...
small-town values, this can be observed as one goes to the City Hall where everyone is warm and polite thus making you feel welcomed. The building is meticulously cared for and maintained so it always looks its best. This staying true to its values and ever so dedicated to its citizens, the City Hall is a very endearing building.
